The Gojra–Shorkot section of the National Motorway M4 in Pakistan has been officially opened. It is part of the Pakistan Economic Corridor Program to upgrade highway networks connecting the country’s southern and northern parts, helping to improve road links with its neighbouring Central Asian countries and China.

Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded six contracts totalling S$3.14 billion to design and construct the tunnels and commuter facilities - such as pedestrian overhead bridges and bus stops - for six sections of the North-South Corridor project.
